Arkansas-themed film

I have completed a film inspired by my travels to Arkansas. It is in the Ken Burns style (of "Civil War" fame), full of historical footage, but this work includes full-motion video and should be viewable even from your mobile.

Please let me know what you think!

  3. I must say that my original excitement over the film was based on a false assumption...the assumption that you made up American Hoggers as a parody of American Choppers. I really thought you had carefully crafted the logos, personalities and A&E-like music to perfectly parody what Is already a iconic lampoon of American culture.

When I learned that Hoggers was a real show, my excitement faded somewhat, but I'm still impressed.

    1. It just seemed like the right thing to do, and I am pleased with the result (and the critical acclaim). Also, the research in this project has been particularly rewarding - for example, I had no idea that Il Duce was a Razorback! However, I am now curious about how "Wooo pig a songo" evolved into "Wooo pig sooie"... What is "Wooo pig a songo" in Latin?

    2. The speech is in German. The full quote is "Eine kleine ... Wooo pig und schnapps."

    1. Yes. Very Ken Burn-esque. Slow moving panoramas over still black-and-white photographs. A poem thrown in for good measure... and a hog-killing family as the back drop.

  7. I think there should be some statistics on this page regarding humans gored by hogs, the average length of tusks on a goring, and what percentage of those gorings are in Arkansas. Or is that on another page?

  8. There should be stats on this page about the number of gorings of humans by pigs a year, the average length of a tusk in a goring, and the percent of those gorings that occur in Arkansas. Or is that on another page?

  9. I bet you can make a really nice hog skin rugs. I'm still looking for the perfect rug for my place after they stole mine. That rug really tied the room together.
